Mensah lost his father at the age of two years and for that matter, his mother who became a single parent and a kindergarten teacher after the demise of his father, struggled to take care of his education up through to the sixth form level when she also passed away painfully.
Afterward, he depended on his sister and friends’ parents to complete his university education. Ing. Mensah has therefore tasted the bitter side of life when growing up and for that matter, has a great desire to help kids in Ghana and Africa to overcome some of the challenges associated with education of brilliant but needy kids from poor backgrounds. He met his former class mate (Ms. Alberta Odame Awuah) at the Winneba Secondary School in Ghana who happens to be the Founder of Heart of Grace Foundation at Schiphol in Netherland in May, 2015. Ever since that meeting, he has decided to assist his classmate in her foundation to help needy but brilliant pupils in Ghana in the attainment of better educational life. Currently, he has gotten a team to assist the Heart of Grace Foundation in its work at the Awutu Offadaa Methodist Primary School.
